Union Pacific takes no shortcuts with their Heritage Fleet so they naturally contacted Tackpoint to recreate the long discontinued bearings needed in this Big Boy restoration. All 600 tons of this 1941 giant relies on custom bearings housed in the intricate but heavy duty valve gear assembly. We couldn’t be prouder to take part in bringing this 7,000 horsepower piece of living history back to life.
